PROGRAM:  Federal vs. State Insurance Regulation and The Broader Implications

In our last meeting, SC Insurance Director, Ray Farmer touched on the current conflict between State and Federal regulators over several issues including the Flood Program, PPACA and captive insurance.  For our February meeting we are pleased to have Gary Osborne, President of USA Risk Group, expand on some of these themes.   Gary is one of the leading experts in the captive/alternative risk industry and is an advisor to several state and national organizations on regulatory matters.  Gary will provide an overview of the key areas of conflict and how the effect on captives/alternative risk and reinsurance may have implications for the entire insurance industry.
